The Norris Family

Kaelob and Britney drove over an hour (with a potty training 3 year old) for me to photograph their maternity photos at Antietam Battlefield! That is some serious dedication and I appreciate it, ya’ll. I’ve known Britney and Kaelob since they were high school sweethearts and I love seeing how their family has grown! They’ve got one rough and tumble three year old, Amos, who loves riding in the buggy and makes the most ferocious dinosaur noise I’ve ever heard. And guess what?! He’s going to be a big brother! They chose not to find out the gender which is absolutely killing me because I’ve never been good at waiting. (Ha!) Brit and I are guessing boy but Kaelob is voting girl so time shall tell!

I feel like every family I photograph has a different bond, a special love language they speak, little songs they sing or inside jokes they have. It’s special to get a front row seat to see their relationships and the ways they connect. Britney and Kaelob have the sweetest, most comfortable love. Completely relaxed and in sync with one another. I loved the way Britney threw her head back when Kaelob would make her laugh and how Kaelob closed his eyes when he leaned over her belly to hug her at the end of our time together. This is why I do what I do, ya’ll. If you’re wondering what’s it. This is it.

Some fun facts: The Norris fam loves being outside, exploring new places and sitting around the campfire with some ice cold drinks.
