Family Pictures at Burnside Bridge

I photograph a lot of families with babies and toddlers. And it’s understandable, those early years kids seem to triple in size in what feels like just a few months. But it’s been on my heart lately, “Why don’t we keep documenting our growing families?”. So I did a casting call for some families with a wider range of ages and the Forney family jumped at the opportunity to work with me and man, I’m blushing over here. 🙂 From 7 month-old, chubby-cheeked Tripp to opinionated 13-year old Scotlyn, they kept me on my toes!

Sean and Jackie have been together 16 years and married for six. You can usually find Jackie caring for her farm friends and Sean planning his next trip to climb mountains in Nepal. (Yes, you read that right). When they aren’t tending to the sweetest animals on the farm or climbing mountains, they love spending time together at their river cabin. Ya’ll pray for my man, Sean. He’s got several opinionated girls (*cough cough Scotlyn + Henley*) and the one dude on his side can’t talk yet. 😉 Individual portraits of each kiddo is one of my favorite parts of a family session. They get a special moment to shine and it gives me a chance to focus in on some things that Mama wants to remember–like Henley’s freckles painted across her cheeks and sensitive Skylar with the kindest eyes (that she can cross too!) and prettiest princess twirl. And let’s not forget Tripp’s delicious thighs. 😍 It was such a joy to document this season for the Forney Family!
