Ryan & Mackenzie’s Fall Engagement Session in Downtown Frederick

I’m so excited for Ryan & Mackenzie to tie the knot at Mercersburg Academy in May! I’ll also be joining them at the The Barrel House in Chambersburg to photograph their rehearsal dinner the evening before. There is so much excitement that happens at the rehearsal dinner–From family coming in from out of town to welcome speeches from the father-of-the-bride. Rehearsal dinners hold so much meaning for each couple and really start off the wedding weekend with a bang.

So I’m glad I’ll be there so they can enjoy their rehearsal dinner, skip the iPhone photos and leave their core memories in my hands. 🙂

Alright, back to what you came here for…

We met for their engagement session in downtown Frederick and let me tell you when this blonde bombshell and her James Bond stepped out, my jaw dropped. Mackenzie has the most beautiful smile and absolutely killer style. I love that they decided to spice it up with dressier outfits for their engagement pictures.

So very ooh-la-la!

We decided on photographing their Fall engagement session in downtown Frederick because there really are so many really beautiful locations to shoot from Baker Park to the colorful, tree-lined pathways along Carroll Creek. With a multitude of options at hand, we walked and talked until we found that good, GOOD light. And then BOOM, we took really pretty pictures.

Okay, maybe there were a few other steps before that like us clearing the pathway for bicyclers every few minutes and us working through Mackenzie not being a touchy-feely person. 😂  But we made it happen and ya’ll, they did NOT disappoint!

Can’t wait to make some more magic with these two on their big day!
