Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make regarding your wedding day - once the cake is cut and the dancing is over, the only thing you'll have left will be your images! Because you’ll spend more time with your photographer on your wedding day than anyone else (even your new spouse!), it’s so important to ensure we’re a good match for one another.
Your experience with me begins long before your wedding day - from the first e-mail to the final gallery delivery, I strive to provide prompt service, personalized attention, and plenty of love. I remember what it felt like to be a bride and how the photographer I chose impacted my memory of the day. Keeping that in the front of my mind, it is always my goal to love and serve my couples with compassion and care.
You've thoroughly combed through my website, blog and Instagram feed and you like what you see. If you have any questions prior to booking, we can set up a time to chat to make sure we're the perfect fit for one another.
You're engaged!
Once your date is officially reserved with a 50% retainer, I'll send over a few goodies to help you prepare for the big day. I'm happy to serve as a resource for vendor recommendations, timeline guidance and more!
Make it official
Sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few weeks before the wedding. I've found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos.
I check in about 90 days before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I should know about your big day.
It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends. Just know I'm excited to celebrate and capture your wedding day. It's going to be awesome!
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about six weeks of your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints.

REVIEW NO. 3 OF 3
Unless you’re a model, being photographed probably feels a little awkward. I do this for a living and I still always feel a little out of place when we have our family photos taken every year.
I'm a big fan of engagement sessions for a few reasons. First, they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera. It takes time for most couples to warm up to being photographed and understand how I pose. Timelines can be pretty tight on weddings days and 30 minutes may be all we have for portraits - which is why
I've found that wedding day portraits turn out so much better when couples do engagement sessions ahead of time.
Second, you can showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you (and even include pets!) While they’re great for save-the-dates, I've taken engagement photos anywhere from 4 to 18 months before the wedding.
All of my collections include a complimentary session.
this is the fun part!
Whenever you would like! I can shoot this immediately upon booking or if you're from out of town, we can schedule something closer to the wedding day.

I typically add travel fees on to any wedding outside of a 50 mile radius from my home in Hedgesville, West Virginia. Fees vary depending on location so ask me for more details.

Wedding galleries typically include anywhere between 50-75 images/hour. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding but an 8 hour wedding usually produces 600-800 images. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere. You’re also welcome to share your wedding photos on Facebook as long as you credit me and link to my website.

Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, I'll need a completed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer fee. The remaining balance will be due at least thirty days prior to the wedding. All contracts and invoices are handled online so you can be gloriously paper-free!

In my experience, 8 hours is enough time to adequately cover your entire wedding day, highlighting the special moments while still allowing plenty of time for portraits. If your timeline requires additional coverage, we can chat about adding additional coverage as your day approaches. Ten hours of coverage is the maximum for any package.

Having a second shooter means more wedding day coverage and ultimately more images from your special day. When you book two photographers, we can cover more in less time. Which ultimately means more time for bride + groom portraits (my fave!). The second shooter package is my most popular pick!

I do not accept Pinterest boards or shot lists. It's important for me to maintain creative control over the engagement session or wedding day to create images that are truly unique to you as a couple and not an imitation of someone else's work.

I aim to be a combination of discreet and interactive on the wedding day. It’s important for me to control certain parts of the day (like family portraits) to ensure we stay on schedule and to provide a great experience for you and your guests. A day-of coordinator can be a huge help with this! Other times, like the ceremony and first dance, you won’t even know I’m there.
