Mercersburg Academy Chapel Wedding | Lauren + Jonathan

When I first met L+J, I could tell their love was easy. Their gentle spirits were evident to me as they chatted with me about who they were, how they met and ultimately that they’d like to tie the knot sooner rather than later! When you know, you know! After a short engagement, Lauren and Jonathan married in the stained-glass chapel at Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg, PA.

With rain on the radar, I whisked the newlyweds away post-ceremony for bride + groom portraits around the Academy just before the heavy clouds rained down. Whew! Lauren + Jonathan planned so many little details that created meaningful moments throughout their day–from the ring box Jonathan and his dad stained themselves to the all-together voices singing in worship during their ceremony. I loved the elegant and natural colors Lauren planned, with navy and cornflower blue details with a few blush accents. Her florals were absolutely gorgeous!

One of my favorite parts of the evening was the COLD BREW ICED COFFEE BAR. Yes, you read that right. Thank you Lauren, for doing the right thing and giving the people what they want! 😉

Lauren + Jonathan’s big day was filled to the brim with joy and covered in undeniable peace. Church bells rang and bubbles filled the air as Jonathan led Lauren down the chapel steps, headed for forever. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Gortva!
